Narai Thai Restaurant

Quite little restaurant, nice atmosphere. Our waiter was friendly and attentive. The dining area was clean. The menu had a good variety. We orders tempura squash, red curry, and Thai stir fry vegetables with chicken. The squash wasn't at all what was expected. It was either acorn or butternut squash, thickly battered and deep fried. It came with sweet and sour sauce. 😐 I asked for sweet chili sauce instead but they didn't have any. 😐 So, I got some pepper paste 🔥 and a sweet peanut sauce instead. I didn't care for either of them. The red curry was good. Unfortunately my stir fry vegetables came with beef instead of chicken. I chose to just eat it rather than make them make another. Although it was quite spicy (medium), it had very little flavor at all. 😞 Not something I would ever order again.

I ordered Crab Rangoon as an appetizer, seafood pineapple curry as the main, and sweet rice for dessert. The flavors were very good. The portion size for the Crab Rangoons and curry were generous. However, I knocked off 1 star because the order took quite a bit longer than promised, and the sweet rice was disappointing - in flavor, texture and serving size.

Best Thai in the springs. Our family has been here twice and never disappointed. Thai style sweet and sour is melt in your mouth delicious. Our waitress brought our kids paper to color on and some stickers to keep them occupied. Everyone else got paid Thai and loved it! Crab rangoons and chicken spring rolls were also great! Will definitely be coming back many more times.

I would love to rate higher, but the restaurant was so noisy. The conversations and eating sounds from every other diner echo loudly in the space. If you had hearing aids it would be impossible to hear your dinner companions. While the food was wonderful, and the service good, I did not enjoy my dinner as a result of the unpleasant noisiness. I would still recommend it though.

My family patrons this place quite often. I ate in the restaurant a few weeks ago, but had a terrible experience for the first time. A needy person was in the restaurant was inside when my young children and I arrived. We were seated. The needy person asked why he wasn’t being seated. Shortly after a visible back and forth with staff, a man angrily stomped in and slammed his hands on the table in front of the needy man and yelled at him. He yelled at him to get out and further went on. He yelled as he stomped back to the door right past our table and basically shoved the man out. He made a huge scene and after didn’t come apologize. My kids were completely shocked and felt totally uncomfortable, as did I. My daughter wanted to leave and does not want to return. I can’t blame her after seeing an adult act that way. Our waiter told me it was the owner. It was unprofessional and lacked respect for the man’s dignity. I am sure there are situations as business owners where dealing with certain individuals gets old. However, being a business owner means remaining professional in front of patrons. I was so disappointed that the owner acted this way in front me and most importantly, in front of my two young impressionable children. This was also right before Thanksgiving and it was freezing cold outside. After we finished eating, I left with a meal looking for this man but sadly couldn’t find him. This is not how adults should lead by example whether it’s for children or your own staff, nor how anyone should show empathy for humanity. I hope they do better in the future.
